The Book ✯✯
This is someone's creative baby and I will do everything I can to be honest and kind at the same time.
The world building was phenomenal. The descriptions came to life as I read and like another reviewer pointed out: it fits perfectly within the realm of a video game like Fallout. Colors, or lack thereof, lots of post-apocalyptic things. Absolutely gorgeously done. And the action and boss fights could be coded and designed into a game I'd most certainly play.
But as a story? It was a big mess of WTF the whole time. The. Whole. Time. I never really understood anything. Even the end where we get some questions answered was like... but wait! What?!
I honestly, really, did not enjoy this one. I'm sure there are others that might. But while it was supposed to be a YA Sci-Fi it got warped into a mystery with no conclusion.
