The Book ✯✯✯✯
I originally finished the first three books in this series within a week and was so bummed that I had to wait for the fourth book. BUT HERE IT IS! Continuing on down the ancestry line, we're now met with the looming Revolutionary War.
I loved the firey, independent Faith. And I adored that she found Matthew, a man that was honorable and didn't want to pin her down. I loved how their relationship progressed and I appreciated that the novel clopped along at a brisk pace.
But one of the things that drew me to this book was the promise of this point in history. While Matthew plays a spy for Washington, the war plays a backdrop to the love story. If I had understood that going in, this would have been a 5 star read.
While this was only slightly disappointing, The Patriot Bride was still a wonderful summer read. And anyone that enjoys clean, Christian romances will adore laying out with this one at the beach this summer.
