The Book
✯✯✯✯
By far and away, The Captured Bride is my current favorite in this series. This time, we follow a strong, independent woman that straddles the line between being Native American and English while also trailblazing feminism and becoming part of the man's world as a scout.
This book is the longest in the series so far, so I felt like I could slow down a bit and truly enjoy the story as a whole instead of blazing through. While certainly still a romance, this one has a ton of action and the romance is slow and natural.
Christian based like the others, this one is not preachy but does attempt to communicate God's love for the characters (and through the characters, the readers.)
It was the perfect spring break romance!

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great read for lovers of historical romance. I will be honest, I am not a lover of historical romance and I avoid books that are very religious so not one I would pick up but the cover is beautiful. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
