The Book ✯✯✯
A clean and non-gory triple murder mystery, A Cornish Suspicion is another cozy mystery to add to The Loveday Mysteries file.
A sweet, wealthy old lady is murdered. An older, poor couple is murdered. An odd drug ring was thrown into the mix. Can Loveday and her partner, Sam, find the killer in time?
Though the book drug in many spots, it was okay once you recognize that cozy and slow tend to go hand in hand. We got a look at Loveday's life and friendship that doesn't make quite as much sense if you read this as a standalone but can build to the characters over the whole series. The murders were never described in detail, which I appreciate greatly. And the focus was less on the sleuthing and more on the friendships you could have in your own neighborhood.
It was short and sweet and read very much like what I imagine a grown Nancy Drew would reflect.
Thank you to Rena George for requesting I read her book and leave an honest review.
